Afan Trails at risk from tree fungus

June 18, 2010 in Afan Argoed

I know the headline sounds like something out of the Sunday Sport but the trails at Afan are at risk from a fungus which is attacking the Japanese Larch trees that surround some of the best bits of singletrack.  Worst affected is the Penhydd Trail.  Mountain bikers are being asked to thoroughly clean their bikes after visiting Afan to avoid spreading the fungus to other areas.
