The Lounge (aka Banter): 1 year agoNo idea about accomodation. Trails within 90 mins, Brechfa forest, excellant trails. I think the black trail is well worth travelling for. Afan trails are fantastic, Start at Glyncorrwg for some of the best trails in South Wales. Apparently where you are staying there are good natural trails. From Builth you could travel north to [...]

ian morgan posted on the forum topic Cube Stereo Race – Buy one ? in the group
Bargains and offers: 1 year agoHuge difference between the old Wolf ridge and the new one. Couldn’t get on too well with the old one but just love the new one. Really good fun for trail centres. Just gave me more confidence to ride things quicker. I will never been a fast rider but I ride quick enough to frighten [...]

ian morgan posted on the forum topic Cube Stereo Race – Buy one ? in the group
Bargains and offers: 1 year agoIf you get a good Spesh then its a great bike. There seem to be a few issues with rear hubs on certain models, but usually all sorted through warranty. Bishy has an Intense Tracer, now that is nice. At the moment the Heckler is a good buy. Yeti 575, a nice bike, you can [...]

ian morgan posted on the forum topic views on this please in the group
Bargains and offers: 1 year, 1 month agoThats top dollar for a second hand bike. Loads of full sus bikes around new for that kind of money. Sales are very good now. I amm selling my Pikes, probably too much travel though and a maxle . Why am I telling you this? You could go for a Spesh like Ians, cracking bike. [...]

ian morgan posted on the forum topic Roof bars/carriers? in the group
Equipment Group: 1 year, 1 month agoPersonally I would get one for the boot. If you have a towbar then thats the way to go, although I suspect having an Escort GTi and towbars dont mix. Trouble with roof bars is you have to lift a mucky bike on to the rack, risk of slipping ( seen that happen a few [...]

ian morgan posted on the forum topic Is it the same site? in the group
The Lounge (aka Banter): 1 year, 1 month agoI find this site difficult to use. Maybe its because I am old but the text is difficult to read. It used to be great. Made a lot of friends. Do you remember when we had big group rides. 40+ on occassions like FOD or the Gap. Ok some people didnt get on but thats [...]

MTB-Wales.com Help and Support: 1 year, 2 months agoThanks for the replies guys. The battery didn’t work:( . However it did give enough power to the computer to find the Hope website. They informed me that a Manitou adaptor, I think off a Dorado, does the trick. Just ordered it this evening.

ian morgan posted on the forum topic What forks? in the group
Equipment Group: 1 year, 2 months agoIs that another new frame? I dont think there is a huge amount between them. I THINK that Fox has better small bump response but it is difficult to go all the way into the travel. The Revs are lighter and Pauls seem very nice indeed. Blinking pain that I cant find any 140-150 forks [...]

ian morgan posted on the forum topic So, how much would you pay to park at Cwmcarn? in the group
Bargains and offers: 1 year, 3 months ago£2 seems fair enough to me. It would be nice if it went into improving facilities. Reckon most people wouldn’t mind paying that. How much is Afan these days? Seems strange that Cwmcarn is still free.

Hi Ian,
Give me a ring on 07919346215 – we can arrange to meet and you can take a look at the wheel.
Maybe could manage tonight if your desperate.
Will sort out a different price for wheel without tyre/rotor.
