A couple of spammers got through this morning but they are ones that registered ages ago that I hadn’t spotted during the clean up process. They’ve been reported and deleted

Phew! Finally removed all spam from the forums (in between helping to sort out a friends website http://www.clockworkmouse.co.uk). Both spam topics and posts have gone although if you notice any please click the report button so that I can investigate.

Just one spammer has made it through this week which is an excellent result. I haven’t yet got around to cleaning all the spam out of the forums but I will do it over the weekend. Then, I’ll add some new content to the site . . .

Haven’t checked the site for two days due to other work commitments and was pleased to see that just one spammer had managed to post something. And that was an old account that I hadn’t previously found and deleted. Deleting the spammers has left something of a mess in the forums with links to groups that no longer exist and threads that have been deleted. These will have to be manually deleted which is something that’ll have to wait until later this evening . . .

Fighting back against the spammers . . . . all spam groups have been deleted and, using a new spam-fighting plugin, 21,423 spammers accounts have been deleted.

Just finished clearing out all the spam groups and deleting the accounts which created them. But it’s just the tip of the iceberg . . . .

Welcome back ! This is the right place to post if you’re looking at riding at Glyncorrwg If you’re looking at riding further afield one of the other groups might be a better place to post.

I’ll keep an eye on things to see how they run – it might be that we need to merge some groups at some point in the future.
