Welcome to the NEW version of MTB-Wales.com
Why new ? Because the old version has been creaking along for ages and failed completely to start when our web hosting company upgraded the server it runs on. The new look MTB-Wales.com (we’ll fix the colours and other stuff later) is a radically departure from the old site. So how is it different ?
Well it’s much more social for a start and revolves around a series of groups. There’s a group for each of the trail centres (Afan Argoed, Brechfa, Coed Llandegla, Coed Trallwm, Coed y Brenin, Cwmcarn, Glyncorrwg, Gwydyr Forest, The Mach Trails, Nant yr Arian and Penmachno) which you can join to discuss the trails, find riding partners, plan routes etc. For those that prefer hills to trees, there are groups for you whether you ride in North Wales, Mid Wales and South Wales. Then there’s also the Lounge were you can discuss anything at all. If equipment is your thing, you can discuss things to buy (and not to buy) in the Gear Group.
Now if you’re in Wales and run a bike club, you can create your own group too and use this to stay in touch with your friends and plan rides. If you run a bike shop in Wales then you can also create a group for your bike shop and use that to stay in contact with your customers, completely free of charge !
To do any of the above, you’ll need to register but when you do you’ll be able to connect with your friends, update your status and plan your next ride.
As you look around you’ll notice that the site is pretty empty and lacking images – please stick with us as we add content and features (video embedding, photo albums, user blogs, articles and reviews) to the site over the next few days. Don’t forget that if you get stuck doing something on MTB-Wales.com, post your problem in our support group.
